In conjunction with IEEE Virtual Reality 2007
March 10-11,2007 Charlotte, North Carolina USA

The IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces 2007 is the second international symposium focused on the topic of 3D UIs and will be held to provide an intensive exchange between industrial and academic researchers working in various 3DUI research areas and to trigger discussions among participants. It builds on successful 3DUI workshops in 2004 and 2005 and 3DUI 2006. The symposium will last for two days, and will be followed immediately by the IEEE VR conference.

The theme of the Symposium will cover all areas of 3D UI research. The Symposium themes include, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • 3D input devices
  • 3D display devices
  • 3D interaction techniques
  • 3D user interface metaphors
  • Collaborative 3D interaction
  • Evaluation methods for 3D UIs
  • Applications of 3D UI techniques

Rob Jacob, Tufts University, gave the 3DUI 2007 Keynote.
