Call for Registration Grants Applications:
Students and Participants from Irish Industry


A limited number of SFI (Science Foundation Ireland) grants are available for IEEE CBMS 2005 organizers to cover registration fees for students (both Irish and from overseas) and for participants from Irish industry (hospitals, medical equipment development companies etc.).

Applicants should submit their letter of request by email to

The letter of request should include:

  • the status of the applicant (MSc/ PhD student, hospital worker etc) with evidence of existing interest and expertise in computational medicine (including brief bio and a list of most recent relevant publications if applicable);

  • type of planned participation in IEEE CBMS 2005 (presentation of accepted technical paper, participation in the tutorial/ regular/ special sessions etc.);

  • whether any other sources of support are available to the applicant (e.g. travel money from the department);

  • a case for support that includes reasons why IEEE CBMS 2005 should make the grant to the applicant; and

  • a letter of support (for students only) from applicant's advisor.

In the event that registration grant applications exceed available funds, preference will be given to participants who have an accepted technical paper, and then to students who are actively participating in the conference in some way.
