CLOUD-II 2009 Workshop Paper Submission and Review Process

Please use dedicated submission page for each workshop to submit your papers. Submitted manuscripts will be limited to 8 (IEEE Proceedings style) pages and required to be formatted using the IEEE Proceedings template. Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF or Word format) is required. Detailed instructions for electronic paper preparation and submission, panel proposals, tutorial proposals, and review process can be found from this web site.

All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by at least 2 to 3 program committee members. Please note that the same paper should NOT be submitted to other conferences or events simultaneously. Such duplicate submissions will be rejected from all conferences without review.

Paper Review Policy

CLOUD-II 2009's Policy and professional ethics require that referees treat the contents of papers under review as privileged information not to be disclosed to others before publication. It is expected that no one with access to a paper under review will make any inappropriate use of the special knowledge, which that access providers. Contents of abstracts submitted to conference program committees should be regarded as privileged as well, and handled in the same manner. The Conference Publications Chair shall ensure that referees adhere to this practice.

Call for Workshop Proposals

The purpose of organizing workshops at CLOUD-II 2009 is to provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal and possibly more focused way than the conferences themselves. As such, they also offer a good opportunity for young researchers to present their work and to obtain feedback from an interested community. The format of each workshop is to be determined by the organizers, but it is expected that they contain ample time for general discussion. The preference is for oneday workshops, but other schedules will also be considered.

Proposals must include:
1. The name of the workshop.
2. A statement of goals for the workshop.
3. The names and addresses of the organizers.
4. The names of potential participants, such as program committee members.
5. A description of the plans for call for participation (e.g., call for papers).
6. The expected number of attendees and the planned length of the workshop.
7. A description of the plans for publicity.
8. An explanation of any plans for proceedings.
9. A description of past versions of the workshop, including dates, organizers, submission and acceptance counts, attendance, sites, registration fees and summary budget information.
10. The URL of the workshop web site will be assigned by IEEE CLOUD-II 2009.

For all workshop organizers, if the workshop receives more than 50 valid submissions directly submitted to the dedicated online workshop submission system and accepts more than 10 quality regular papers from them, the workshop will receive one free registration, and up to three key workshop chairs will each receive a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Services by Serving As Chair of "Workshop Title" presented by IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Services Computing (TC-SVC).

If you are interested in organizing workshops for the 2009 IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing (CLOUD-II 2009), please send your proposal via the CLOUD-II 2009 Proposal Submission and Review System at http://confhub.com. Your proposal will be reviewed by the program chairs and workshop chairs.

The workshops are selected based on the scope and technologies proposed in the papers. They can be used to help address, create, or manage one or multiple aspects of the following areas in Cloud Computing.
  • Infrastructure Cloud
  • Software Cloud
  • Application Cloud
  • Business Cloud
  • Service-Oriented Architecture in Cloud Computing
  • Vituralization of Hardware Resources
  • Virtualization of Software Resources
