Authors Guidelines

Please use the followoing instructions for preparing the camera ready versions of your paper! You are allowed a total of 6 pages for your paper. This includes all figures, tables, and references. Up to 4 extra pages may be purchased at a cost of $150.00 per page. Please make checks out to Compsac 98 and identify paper number on each check. Please send extra pages charges together with the copyright and registration form to the address below.

Electronic Submission

Please submit your paper electronically to the IEEE Computer Society ftp site. Please prepare your paper as plain ASCII PostScript only, with NO encoding, condensing, or encapsulation. Please use TrueType 1 fonts wherever possible. Do not use bitmapped fonts such as Computer Modern if you can avoid it. Guidelines for generating and submitting PostScript files are available on our Internet site at http://computer.org/author/psguide.htm

File Name:
Please save your file using your name, i.e. John Smith's file would be smith.ps. If you are submitting two or more files, please number them: smith1.ps, smith2.ps, etc. If there is a file with the same name already in the directory, please use a variation. Files are regularly moved off the FTP site, please do not re-post your paper if you do not see it on the site.

Transfering To FTP Site
When transferring files to the FTP site, if you have a choice between ASCII and binary modes, use binary. Although ASCII mode works well most of the time, binary mode incurs fewer problems.
