 BACKGROUND

COMPSAC is the major international forum for researchers, practitioners, managers, and policy makers interested in computer software and applications. It was first held in Chicago in 1977, and since then it has been one of the major forums for researchers, practitioners, and managers in academia, industry, and government to advance the state of art in software technologies and practices. The technical program includes research papers, industrial case studies, workshops, keynote presentations, and panel discussions

 CONFERENCE LOCATION

 The conference is going to be held at the Omni Richardson Hotel.

 LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

  • From Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport to the conference hotel, Omni Richardson Hotel ( 701 East Campbell Road, Richardson, Texas, telephone number 1-972-231-9600), the taxi fare is approximately $65, and one-way fare of Super Shuttle is $22 per person.  You may make reservation for the Super Shuttle by calling 1-817-329-2000 or in US calling 1-800-258-3826.
  • For driving from DFW Airport, follow north exit from the airport; exit 635 east to I-75 north; exit Campbell Road; take right off ramp, the hotel is located on the left.
  • For driving from Love Field, exit Love Field and turn left on Mockingbird Lane.  Proceed to North Dallas Tollway, drive north to the 635 east; proceed east to I-75 north to Campbell Road, take right off ramp, the hotel is located on the left.

Special group room rate:  

 

Single or double -- $69.00 plus 13% tax

A block of rooms with this special group rate has been designated for COMPSAC 2003 participants.  The cut-off date for making the reservations with this special group rate is October 13, 2003.  However, since the number of rooms is limited, it is advisable to make your reservation as early as possible.  After the rooms in the block are filled by our group or when the cut-off date is reached, reservations will be accepted based availability of rooms at the hotel.  It is encouraged   to make your reservation early.

 

Reservation:  

 

Call the hotel at 1-972-231-9600, ask for the reservation department and identify you with the group COMPSAC  2003.  In the US, you can make reservation using the toll-free phone number 1-800-843-6664.

You can also make your reservation through fax at the hotel fax number 1-972-231-7384, and make sure to mention that you are with the group COMPSAC 2003.

A reservation can be confirmed only with the guarantee of a credit card or payment for the first night's room rate plus applicable tax.

 

Cancellation Policy:  

 

To cancel a reservation, the hotel must receive your cancellation request 72 hours prior to the day of arrival.  Any reservation not cancelled will receive a no-show billing for the full room rate plus tax.  When a reservation is cancelled, make sure to secure a cancellation number for your cancellation from the hotel.

 

Check-in & Check-out time:

 

The check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and the check-out time is 12:00 noon.  Guests are permitted to check in earlier or check out later subject to room availability.
