IEEE SCC2006






IEEE ICWS 2006 REGISTRATION Notes:

Please book the hotel before 8/29/2006 to take advantage of guaranteed room with conference rate (Mention the event "IEEE COSTEP").

For a participant who pays ICWS 2006 conference registration, he/she can:
-obtain a copy of the ICWS proceedings;
-participant in all ICWS sessions, all SCC sessions, all workshop sessions, and SOA industry summit;
-obtain one outside banquet ticket ($120/person);

For a participant who pays SCC 2006 conference registration, he/she can:
-obtain a copy of the SCC proceedings;
-participate in all SCC sessions, all ICWS sessions, all workshop sessions, and SOA industry summit;
-obtain one outside banquet ticket ($120/person);

For a participant who pays ICWS/SCC 2006 workshop registration, he/she can:
-obtain a copy of the workshop proceedings;
-participate in all ICWS sessions, all SCC sessions, other workshop sessions, and SOA industry summit;
-obtain one outside banquet ticket ($120/person);

For a participant who wants to register Tutorial(s), he/she must first register at least one of the three conference/workshop types (ICWS/SCC/workshop) and then pay the tutorial fees for each tutorial interested. He/she can:
-obtain a copy of the proceedings registered;
-participate in all ICWS sessions, all SCC sessions, workshop sessions, SOA industry summit, and only the tutorials registered;
-obtain one outside banquet ticket ($120/person);

For a participant who registered SOA industry summit, he/she can:
-obtain a copy of the SCC proceedings;
-participate in all ICWS sessions, all SCC sessions, workshop sessions, and SOA industry summit;
-obtain one outside banquet ticket ($120/person);

Note: For participants/authors registered as non-author students, he/she can:
-participate in all ICWS sessions, SCC sessions, workshop sessions, and SOA industry summit;
-NO proccedings will be provided;
-NO outside banquet ticket will be provided;

For a participant who has registered for COMPSAC and is interested in ICWS/SCC tutorials, he/she could only pay the tutorial fees instead of having to pay for ICWS/SCC conference fees first.

Each paper needs at least one FULL registration, before the camera-ready manuscript can be included in the proceedings. There is no student rate for paper-required full registration.If you have more than one accepted paper, you need to register for each one individually. According to CoSTEP policy, there is no discount if you have two or more papers accepted. The registration fees table and related information can be found here. IEEE ICWS 2006 provides the following three ways for registration.

1. Online Registration (Strongly Recommended)

A PayPal-powered ICWS 2006 online registration system is available at ICWS 2006 Online Registration System . The guidelines to use the system is provided.

As an eBay Company, PayPal provides the most popular online payment system. PayPal allows individual customer to send money or collect money online without any transaction fee.

An ICWS 2006 participant who is new to PayPal is not required to create a PayPal account to complete the registration. You can go through an alternate checkout, and have the option to sign up afterwards. Please SELECT "No shipping required (online download, payment for a service, etc.)" when you provide your billing information on the shipping page.

An ICWS 2006 participant who already has PayPal accounts can continue to enjoy the privileges of the accounts, such as payment history and integration with eBay Auctions, with the same checkout experience. You can get a FREE PayPal account at any time.


Note:We just ordered IEEE Credit Card terminal. If by any reason you cannot conduct online registration, please adopt method 2 to fax your credit card information. We will use the IEEE terminal to register for you in person.

2. Register via Fax or Regular Mail

Download the registration form here. Then FAX or email your scanned signed form to the registration chair at 1-914-729-1088. If you would like to send by mail with a check, please send an email to registration AT servicescomputing.org to get the mailing address.

3. Bank transfer

FAX or email your scanned signed form to the registration chair at 1-914-729-1088 and request bank account information for IEEE ICWS 2006.

Cancellations and Substitutions

Cancellations and substitutions are allowed. However, full registration fees will be charged unless a cancellation notice is sent in writing, and received or faxed on or before 08/15/2006 to the registration chair of ICWS 2006. All the registrations for published papers in the Proceedings of IEEE ICWS 2006 cannot be cancelled.

A $70 handling fee will be applied to all canceled registrations. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the deadline (08/15/2006). No-shows will be billed. Registration transfer is allowed. A letter on your company's letterhead is required from the original registrant stating the conditions of the substitution and the name of the replacement.

IEEE Conference Visa Letter Request Process

IEEE's guidelines for providing visa letters are as follows:

Visa letters will only be issued to

• People the committee knows
• Speakers/Presenters
• Committee members
• Attendees who have paid their registration fees in full and are not from one of the countries
embargoed by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control

Visa letters will state only the facts

• Conference title, dates and location
• That the requester has paid the required registration fee in full (Verify that the credit card
clears before providing letter).
• If they are either a committee member, speaker, or presenter
