ICWS 2010 Applications and Industry Track
Download
a full-page color poster
(in November 2009 and December 2009 Issues of the Communications
of ACM and IEEE Computer) for the largest
Services Computing event in 2010!
The applications and industry track of ICWS 2010
will be the forum for
high-quality presentations on innovative applications and engineering
solutions leveraging Web services. These include Web services
specifications and enhancements, Web services discovery and
integration, Web services security and QoS, Web services standards and
technologies, Web services applications and solutions, Web services
realizations, semantic Web services, mobile Web services applications,
and other emerging technologies or solutions.
The application and industry track papers should
generally have results from (ideally) real world development,
deployment, and experiences delivering solutions of Services Computing
systems whereas research track papers should generally have either
theoretical results or early implementation/prototype demonstrations.
Additionally, an industry track paper can be structured like an
"experience report" paper where one important section is "Lessons
learned" or general advices gained from the experience. Other
appropriate sections are general background on the solutions, overview
of the solutions, and directions for future innovation and improvements.
You are welcome to send email with any questions you might have as you
prepare your submission to either of the application and industry
program chairs at icws.ieeecs AT gmail.com .
Authors should submit application and industry papers (8 pages maximum
per paper) with the same formatting rules as research papers. Like
research track, 2-3 reviews of submissions will be provided to authors
during notification. Acceptance criteria will be innovativeness of
software, solutions, services and the potential of impact. Please send
your abstract and paper using the ICWS 2010
Applications and Industry Track Submission Page.
Note: Please do NOT submit your application and industry track papers
to the regular research track. The review process of research track and
application and industry track will be synchronized by Program Chairs
and Application & Industry Track Chairs. The double submissions
will be automatically rejected without review.
