Peter Eades will be Keynote Speaker for InfoVis 2006, on Sunday, October 29, at 10 AM. Peter Eades is Professor of Software Technology, University of Sydney, and holds a position at National ICT Australia (NICTA).
Algorithmics for Network Visualization Peter Eades obtained a PhD in Mathematics from the Australian National University in 1978. He holds the Chair of Software Technology at the University of Sydney, and concurrently holds a position at National ICT Australia (NICTA). Previously, he has held academic positions at the University of Queensland (1978 - 1991) and the University of Newcastle (1992 - 2000), as well as visiting positions at the University of Louisiana, Fujitsu Research Laboratories, McGill University, and the University of Limerick. Peter's main research interest is information visualisation - in particular, software visualisation, financial visualisation, algorithms (especially geometric algorithms), graph drawing and program analysis. |
