Hotel Reservation

All reservations have to be made by individuals by telephone (800-233-1234 or 847-696-1234). Attendees should mention the event "IEEE COSTEP" to obtain conference rate (our group code is g-IEEE). Also, the cut off time for our conference rate and guaranteed booking will be 8/29/2006. The Hotel shall offer individuals the opportunity to make online reservations by way of the Hotel's Web site (http://ohare.hyatt.com/groupbooking/chiroieee2006). The reservation cut-off date will be Monday, 28 August 2006 at 5:00 p.m. Central time. Reservations received after this date will be accepted by the Hotel on a space available basis at the conference rates.

The Hotel will require a deposit in advance from individual guests to guarantee a particular reservation. To guarantee an individual reservation, a guest must either (1) send a check or money order covering the first night's room rate plus applicable sales tax, or (2) send a signed letter authorizing the Hotel to charge the room deposit and applicable sales tax to the guest's major credit card and include card number and expiration date, or (3) give the guest's major credit card by telephone or Internet. Guaranteed reservations are held until at least 6:00 am the following morning, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited. Should guests cancel a reservation; deposits will be refunded by the Hotel if notice is received prior to 6:00 pm on the arrival date. The Hotel will allow name changes without any penalty. All guaranteed reservations will receive either written or verbal confirmation from the Hotel.

In the event that an attendee who has reserved a room within the Society's room block checks out prior to the reserved checkout date, the Hotel will not charge an early departure fee. Attendees should make every effort to inform the Hotel in advance of any changes to their planned length of stay.

The Hotel's check-in time is 3:00 pm. The Hotel's checkout time is 12:00 pm. Guests are permitted to check in earlier or check out later subject to room availability.

These rates are exclusive of applicable sales/room tax, currently 13% percent. The above special rates will apply at least three (3) days prior to and three (3) days after the Meeting dates based on availability to accommodate those who wish to extend their visits.

L-TRAIN: $2 one way (.25 for bus transfers) Nearest stop is 4 blocks from the hotel, available 24 hours. The train runs from the airport to downtown Chicago.
