The two flagship
conferences, ICWS 2008 &SCC 2008, are
strategically part of SERVICES 2008 (Part I). While ICWS &SCC will
continue
to focus on high-quality research and industry paper sessions, the
theme of SERVICES is to support them and further explore the science
and
technology of Services in the field of Services Computing, which has
been
formally promoted by IEEE Computer Society since 2003. From technology
foundation
perspective, Services Computing has become the default discipline for
the emerging modern services science. All the accepted papers will be
published in the proceedings of IEEE Congress on Services
(SERVICES 2008) (Part I).
SERVICES 2008 (Part I) invites you to submit papers to participate the following key events:
Services University
"Services
University" (servicesuniversity.org) was launched at IEEE Congress on
Services (SERVICES 2007) to help you teach Services Computing
discipline in a systematic way. Regional leaders community will be
formed to support this worldwide "Services University"
program. It
is fully sponsored by IEEE Technical Committee on
Services Computing ,
IBM Research and other sponsors.
2008 IEEE Services Computing
Contest
The 2008 IEEE International Services Computing Contest
(SCContest
2008, http://iscc.servicescomputing.org/2008/
) will focus on using the
SOA methodologies and tools to better solve today's business issues and bring together world-wide talented students for the
industry wave. The top six winners of the contest will be announced at
SERVICES 2008 (Hawaii and Beijing). In addition, the technical papers
of the winners will be
published in the proceedings of IEEE Congress on Services (SERVICES
2008) as a special section.
2008 IEEE
SOA Industry Summit
The 2008 IEEE SOA Industry Summit encourages industry people to submit
presentations and two-page papers instead of 8-page research reports.
The accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Congress on
Services (SERVICES 2008) (Part I) as a special section. The
theme of IEEE SOA Industry Summit is Service-Oriented Architecture
(SOA) .
2008 IEEE
Services Computing Workshops (SCW 2008)
SERVICES 2008 (Part I) will include a set of workshops focusing on various
themes of Services Computing and Web services. Most of the accepted
workshops will be held on July 7 and 11, 2008 at SERVICES 2008 (Part I). All
the accepted workshop papers will be published in the proceedings
of IEEE Congress on Services (SERVICES 2008) (Part I) as a special
section.

Ph.D.
Symposium on Services Computing
SERVICES 2008 (Part I) will provide the IEEE Ph.D. Symposium on Services
Computing as a forum encouraging Ph.D. students and holders to report
on-going or completed work. All the accepted papers and demos will be
published in the proceedings of IEEE Congress on Services (SERVICES
2008) as a special section.
2008 IEEE Symposium on SOA Standards
SERVICES 2008 (Part I) will favor the 2008 IEEE Symposium on SOA Standards as a
forum for international researchers and practitioners to discuss and
establish standards around SOA.
