Cloud Computing is a paradigm where pool of applications and
computing resources are made available to users in an on-demand
manner with minimal administrative effort. Today, companies are
using the Cloud to take advantage of the benefits that Cloud
Computing has demonstrated, namely scalability, flexibility,
automation and resource sharing. Indeed,
Cloud Computing transforms existing business models and nurtures
new business models by delivering new types of cloud-enabled
applications and services. It raises challenges and
opportunities collectively for both academia and industry to study,
design, prove, scale and manage the applications and services
enabled by Cloud Computing.
ASOC 2011, collocated with ICEBE 2011, would be held in
Beijing, China in October 19-21, 2011. This year, the main
theme is smart cloud services. It will offer a prestigious
forum for scientists and practitioners in academia, industry
and government to share their knowledge, best practices, and visions, to identify
new challenges and opportunties, and to present their latest
research findings in the aspect of cloud-enabled services.
This workshop solicits paper submissions from both
academia and practitioners in a wide range of related topics
in cloud computing. Topics include but not limited to, the
following:
- Pulic Cloud computing platform for consumers
- Private Cloud computing platform for enterprise
- Hybrid Cloud computing platforms
- Cloud service orchestration and management
- Economics of Cloud services, new business models,
service ecosystems
- Emerging special cloud domains such as green,
healthcare, living services
- Discovery and identification of Cloud ready apps
- Migration of apps/services into the Cloud
- Interoperability between heterogeous and homogeneous
Clouds
- Novel business processes, applications and services on
Cloud
- Application programming models in cloud environments
- Cloud apps/service mash-up
- Best practices, lessons learnt, use cases and non-functional issues
such as security, privacy
- Quality, governance and compliance of Cloud services
Papers must be submitted electronically via the ASOC 2011
Paper Submission Site (http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=asoc2011).
The format of submitted papers should follow the guidelines
for the IEEE conference proceedings, limited to 6 pages. All
papers will be peer reviewed by at least three reviewers.
