The GREENet workshop is in conjunction with the 10th IEEE
International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE
2013).
About GREENet Project
The full title of GREENet project is Globally
Recoverable and Eco-friendly E-equipment Network with
Distributed Information Service Management, which was
supported by a Marie Curie International Research Staff
Exchange Scheme Fellowship within the 7th European
Community Framework Programme under grant agreement No
269122.
This three-year project is aimed at teaming up
trans-continental researchers in the areas of Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) management and
enabling Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
for knowledge transferring and research synergies to
develop generic solutions for globally sustainable WEEE
management. The GREENet objectives include:
- To establish an active international community
and effective communication channel for research teams
from various regions of the EU and China to collaborate
in the research area of globally sustainable WEEE
management.
- To integrate the complementary expertise of the
European and Chinese teams to devise ICT-based
strategies, solutions and standards to address the
multi-faceted requirements of globally sustainable WEEE
management.
- To leverage the geographical characteristics of
the teams for research evaluation, improvement and
dissemination.
