The 1st Workshop on Applications and Services on Cloud (ASOC 09)
(October 21-23, 2009, Macau, China, in conjunction with ICEBE 2009)
Cloud Computing promises to significantly reduce the cost of IT infrastructure,
application hosting and service provisioning by several orders of magnitude.
Further, it also enables new business models with new types of service paradigms
and applications. Potentially it could change the IT industry by transforming the
approach of delivering IT-enabled services. Indeed, it creates a collection of
challenges and opportunities for both academic and industry when creating and
managing cloud-enabled applications and services.
ASOC 2009, collocated with ICEBE 2009, would be held in Macau in October 21-23, 2009.
This year, the main theme is cloud-enabled services. It will offer a prestigious forum
for engineers and scientists in academia, industry and government to share experiences
and visions, to identify new challenges and issues, and to present their latest research
findings in aspect of Cloud-enabled services.
The workshop solicits paper submissions from both academia and
practitioners in a wide range of related topics, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Economics of Cloud services, new business models, service eco systems
