Pacific Grove is a coastal city in Monterey County, California, USA. This small town is a favorite vacation getaway for San Francisco Bay Area residents as it is located approximately two hours (120 mi/195 km) south of San Francisco.

Pacific Grove seats at the Monterey Bay, a rich natural sanctuary for marine, littoral, pine forest, and mixed oak woodland environment. It is also the famed breeding habitat for monarch butterflies, which migrate more than three thousand kilometers to rest in fall and winter.
