Call for Papers
Due to the escalated situation of COVID-19 over the globe and the difficulties that it creates to researchers to access university facilities, we have decided to further extend the CHASE 2020 paper submission deadline by three months to July 7th, 2020. Additionally, IEEE/ACM CHASE 2020 has been postponed and will take place sometime in December 2020. We hope this will help authors prepare a more complete submission in this challenging time as well as allow for a physical conference. Please see the CFP with updated dates below and contact us if you have any questions.
IEEE/ACM CHASE is a leading international conference in the field of connected health. It aims to bring together researchers working in the smart and connected health area around the world to exchange innovative ideas and begin collaborations. Connected health can be defined as the use of Internet, sensing, communications, and intelligent analytics in support of health-related applications, health systems, and engineering technologies. Connected health is at the convergence of multiple domains and technologies and helps to shape foundational improvements to health delivery. In the future, improvements from Connected Health will be realized by providing rich medical information to each individual and by replacing infrequent, clinic-based measurements with unobtrusive, continuous sensing, monitoring and assessment. Connected health technologies will enable preventive health and personalized medicine and may significantly reduce healthcare costs. Building upon the success of its past four years, CHASE 2020 will be held virtually in December 2020 to address challenges for enabling connected health worldwide. Prospective authors are cordially invited to submit their original contributions covering completed or ongoing work related to the connected health area. We especially welcome submissions related to COVID-19 and its mitigation. IEEE/ACM CHASE positions itself as a venue for science and engineering researchers to publish their research and discovery, including those that have potential to enable innovations but not yet ready for clinical study.
CHASE 2020 will accept regular, short, special session, demo and poster papers. Regular and short papers will have an option to be published in either ACM Proceedings or Elsevier Smart Health Journal. The Best Paper award, the Best Student Paper award and the CHASE service award will be presented in the conference. Topics of interest and submission details are provided on the CHASE 2020 website.
