The 2019 IEEE International Congress on Cognitive Computing (ICCC 2019) aims to cover all aspects of Sensing Intelligence (SI) as a Service (SIaaS). Cognitive Computing is a sensing-driven-computing (SDC) scheme that explores and integrates intelligence from all types of senses in various scenarios and solution contexts. It is well beyond traditional human being's senses, which has four major senses (sight, smell, hearing, and taste) located in specific parts of the body, as well as a sense of touch located all over a body.
From process perspective, the key sensing elements of intelligence as a service includes but not limited to producing, extracting, understanding, perceiving, responding, deciding, inferencing, correlating, propagating, billing, exchanging, trading, replicating, destroying, repairing intelligences in scientific and business applications.
There are some initial thoughts about cognitive computing. For example, as defined on wikipedia, "Cognitive computing (CC) describes technology platforms that, broadly speaking, are based on the scientific disciplines of Artificial Intelligence and Signal Processing. These platforms encompass machine learning, reasoning, natural language processing, speech and vision, human-computer interaction, dialog and narrative generation and more." Read more
