Cloud services ranging from infrastructure, platform and application are more accessible all over the world. Both public and private sectors are adopting services and service-oriented applications to provide reliable and scalable functions. Meanwhile the service-oriented technologies continually evolve to support the demands for more flexibility and responsiveness under dynamic situations. There are urgent needs of service-oriented solutions which consolidate business process, domain knowledge and IT facilities in a coherent manner. How to fulfill divergent requests by leveraging well-defined services remains a great challenge nowadays.
The 2013 International Workshop on Service-Oriented Applications, Integration and Collaboration (SOAIC 2013) is an annual event since 2005. SOAIC has the mission to bridge the gap between business and information technology using service-oriented paradigms, technologies and approaches. It has established itself as a successful international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and experiences on service-oriented applications and technologies. The workshop seeks for paper submissions in a wide range of related topics including but not limited to the following:
- Analysis and design methodology for Cloud service
- Cloud service architecture and applications
- Smarter CaaS, SaaS, and PaaS for Cloud service
- Semantic service discovery and mining
- Service operation, testing and management
- Service collaboration methodology
- Service and application flow improvement for handheld computing
- Context-aware service and location-based service
- Social, mobile, analytic and geographic service in Smart Planet
- Spatial query service for mobile computing
- Software architectures for mobile services
