ICFC 2019 Call for Tutorials

The tutorials program of ICFC 2019 aims to introduce its attendees to the latest academic and industrial fog computing technologies. Tutorials may cover, but are not limited to, the technologies and engineering involved in the use, analysis, management, maintenance and/or construction of fog computing platforms and services. Of particular interest are tutorials on programming the edge, topics on the intersection of ICFC and IC2E, as well as all topics mentioned in the call for research papers. Proposals are welcomed for tutorials at introductory, intermediate, and advanced skill-levels, that either span a full day (about 6 hours in total), or a half-day (about 3 hours in total). Please, email proposals to david.bermbach [at] tu-berlin.de with the subject “ICFC Tutorial Proposal”

Submission Information

Proposals should include the following information:

• tutorial name and a 150 to 200-word abstract describing the tutorial, that is suitable for inclusion on the conference website;
• names and affiliations of the presenters (normally one or two);
• intended audience skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and any prerequisite knowledge required;
• expected duration (full day or half day);
• detailed description of the planned content (3 pages maximum);
• statement on whether this tutorial has been given previously, and if so at which venue and how this instance will be different;
• brief resume or curriculum vitae for each presenter (2 page maximum for each);
• a list of the days where the presenters will be available for presentation (June 24-27). Please, indicate all available days, we will try to honor time preferences.

Important Dates

• Tutorial proposals due: November 11, 2018
• Notification of acceptance: November 18, 2018
