How to Get from Prague Vaclav Havel Airport to the Conference Venue

By public transport

Approx. 40 min.

The whole journey takes about 40 minutes and you can use the basic 32 CZK ticket (you need to validate the ticket in the bus 119 only and it becomes valid for 90 minutes).

You can find information or buy tickets at the Vaclav Havel airport in Public transport info centres. The info centres are located in the arrival halls of both terminals and are open daily from 7:00 to 21:00. They offer (free of charge) all the relevant information on the operation of public transport in Prague, its routes, timetables, and fares. Except for the information service, you can get from the info centers, e.g.,

In general, tickets must be validated within the first metro station/tram/bus/ whichever you take first.

By taxi

Taxi is much more expensive than public transport and it is just a little bit faster. In the peak time, public transport can be faster (due to metro). It is reasonable to use taxis only for night arrivals/departures when bus line 119 and metro lines do not operate. The first bus 119 departs daily from the Vaclav Havel airport Terminal 1 in the morning at 4:23 and the last bus departs before midnight at 23:42.

We recommend to use official taxi transport from Prague Airport:

which are the official taxi companies operating at the airport. You can find taxies in front of the arrival halls of both terminals. The fare from the airport to the conference venue or downtown hotels should be around 400 - 500 CZK (in peak time the fare can be higher).

The main railway station "Hlavni nadrazi" includes Metro line C (red line) station. Take one stop (1 minute) to the "Muzeum" station and change to line A (green line) and continue to the "Staromestska" station (2 stops, 3 minutes). From "Staromestska" station take either tram number 2, 11, 14 or 17 to the "Karlovy lazne" stop (1 stop, 1 minute), which is almost in front of the conference venue, or walk about 500 meters.

This journey takes about 20 minutes and you can use a 24 CZK ticket (this ticket is valid for 30 minutes after validating it in the entrance into metro) or a 32 CZK ticket (valid for 90 minutes).
