General Registration Guidelines

• Author must complete the registration by August 1, 2008. Otherwise, the author's paper will NOT be included in the conference proceedings. General participants must complete the registration by September 22, 2008 in order to qualify for the early registration rate.
• Accepted papers must have at least one author registration. There is no student rate for author registration.
• Author registering for N papers needs to pay N x registration fee.
• For ICEBE 2008, the length of a regular paper should not exceed 8 pages and the length of a short paper should not exceed 6 pages.
• For Workshop AIR/EM2I/SOAIC/SOKM/BIMA/DKEEE 2008, the length of a workshop regular paper should not exceed 6 pages and the length of a workshop short paper should not exceed 4 pages.
• Extra pages are charged US$150 per page. A maximum of two extra pages is allowed for each paper.
• Student registration must be accompanied by copy of eligible student id card.
• Conference registration includes admission to conference, proceedings, coffee breaks, lunches (three days), reception, banquet, and souvenirs.
• Student registration includes admission to conference, coffee breaks, lunches (three days), reception, banquet, and souvenirs. Proceedings can be purchased onsite.
• Registrants can make the payment online by credit card or offline by credit card/cheque/bank draft. Please see the Payment Methods section for details.

Registration Confirmation

• Email confirmation of conference registration will be sent by the ICEBE 2008 Financial Chair within 7 days of receiving your registration. If you do not receive the confirmation, please email us at alianjun@us.ibm.com. Please include "ICEBE 2008" in the subject.

Member and Student Member Discounts

• To qualify for the discounted IEEE member rate, you must be a member of IEEE or the IEEE Computer Society. Please include your membership number(s) in the registration form.
• To qualify for the full-time student rate, you must be a student who is attending university on a full-time basis. Student registration must be accompanied by copy of eligible student id card.
• Non-IEEE members can save immediately by applying online now for IEEE membership or IEEE Computer Society membership.

• Paying offline by credit card

Please download and fill in the registration form from the online system with credit card information (number, expire date, signature), and then fax it to  ICEBE 2008 Conference, c/o Dr. Lianjun An, IBM T.J. Information about PayPal Payment

As an eBay Company, PayPal provides the most popular online payment system. PayPal allows individual customer to send money or collect money online without any transaction fee.

An ICEBE 2008 participant who is new to PayPal is not required to create a PayPal account to complete the registration. You can go through an alternate checkout, and have the option to sign up afterwards. Please SELECT "No shipping required (online download, payment for a service, etc.)" when you provide your billing information on the shipping page.

An ICEBE 2008 participant who already has PayPal accounts can continue to enjoy the privileges of the accounts, such as payment history and integration with eBay Auctions, with the same checkout experience. You can get a FREE PayPal account at any time.

You can use eCheck via PayPal.

Cancellations and Substitutions

Cancellations and substitutions are allowed. However, full registration fees will be charged unless a cancellation notice is sent in writing, and received or faxed on or before August 1, 2008 to the registration chair of ICEBE 2008. All the registrations for published papers in the Proceedings of IEEE ICEBE 2008 cannot be cancelled.

A $150 handling fee will be applied to all canceled registrations. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the deadline (09/09/2008). No-shows will be billed. Registration transfer is allowed. A letter on your company's letterhead is required from the original registrant stating the conditions of the substitution and the name of the replacement.
