2022 IEEE SERVICES Information for Authors

Information for Authors

Please ensure that the author names and affiliations for all authors are correct in EasyChair, as these will be the starting point for the author list to be forwarded to the IEEE Publisher (IEEE CPS). We remind you that alteration of authors’ list and paper title are generally not acceptable and must be authorized by program chairs.

Camera-ready versions of full papers must be uploaded to the IEEE CPS site (not EasyChair) by or before June 10, 2022 (original deadline has been extended). You will receive an author kit from IEEE CPS with information regarding copyright and instructions for preparing the camera-ready version of your paper and the URL for uploading.

At least one author must register with full fee paid as a presenter for the Congress and commit to physically or virtually attend the Congress to make a live presentation. Registration has already opened. Pay particular attention to the "paper designator" construction method which is not the same as the paper number (or paper ID) issued by EasyChair. A correctly constructed paper designator can ensure that your paper can be identified and registration record correctly reconciled with the final production of proceedings.

If you will virtually attend the Congress, you will be asked to prepare a pre-recorded presentation of your paper.

PAGE LIMITS

REGULAR PAPERS: The page limit for your camera-ready submission is 10 pages for main text, plus any number of references as justified. Two additional pages can be additionally purchased for the main text during registering your paper.
SHORT PAPERS: The page limit for your camera-ready submission is strictly 6 pages.
WIP PAPERS: The page limit for your camera-ready submission is strictly 3 pages.

PAPER DESIGNATORS

IMPORTANT! PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PAPER DESIGNATOR AS A REFERENCE WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR CAMERA READY VERSION. ALSO INCLUDE YOUR PAPER DESIGNATOR IN ALL COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING YOUR PRESENTATION! PAPER DESIGNATOR IS MORE THAN JUST YOUR EASYCHAIR PAPER ID. SEE BELOW.

Each paper must have an unambiguous designator as follows:
Conference-acronym_paper-type_paper-number
For instance CLD_REG_134 means regular paper 134 accepted under CLOUD 2022.
This designator is important to match camera ready with registrations. When uploading your pre-recorded video presentation to Underline, the correct paper designator must be provided for later and onsite retrieval.
For detailed instuctions about where to input your paper designator, please see this page.

PRESENTATION POLICY

The organizers of the 2022 IEEE World Congress on Services remain steadfast in advancing our discipline by continuing to engage an international community of scholars committed to the highest standards of research quality. Because of the continuing global pandemic situation this year, 2022 SERVICES will be held in hybrid mode in Barcelona, Spain. To safeguard Congress’ excellent reputation we require all speakers to rigorously observe the following presentation policy.
  1. To maximize the quality of experience, each paper must be presented live. Remote presenters must guarantee their availability at least for the presentation of their paper. A replacement should be identified in case of audio-video technical problems. No show papers will be removed from the conference proceedings unless a clear evidence on the reasons of no show is presented.
  2. All presenters with papers in the proceedings should upload a pre-recorded video of their presentation. For remote presenters, this is required. The deadline for video upload is June 24. Follow the instructions from Underline to upload your video. The form required for upload is available here. No shows will be evaluated according to point 1 above. This task is mandatory although only meant to be a backup in case speakers experience some permissible excuses. Session chairs will decide during the session whether to invoke a prerecorded video to handle emergency situations. The deadline for uploading the prerecorded video presentation will be communicated soon.
