 Taipei is the political, economic, and cultural center of Taiwan. The National Palace
Museum has one of the largest collections of Chinese artifacts and artworks around the
world and is located in Taipei. Taipei weather in December is usually mild with temperature
around 10-15 degrees celsius. There are many direct flights to Taipei from USA, Europe,
Australian and Asian cities.

GIS NTU Convention Center is situated at the campus of National Taiwan University (NTU), the most prestigious university in Taiwan. It is located in the center of Taipei City, and is only 3 minutes walk away from the metro station Gongguan. The metro system is the backbone of Taipei's public transportation network. Leader Hotel is right next to the convention center. Moreover, over a hundred restaurants offering local and exotic cuisines are minutes away.
