About the venue

The Royal Horse Stable is a red clinker brick building from 1888 in the Nordstadt district of Hannover. It was originally built as a stable for the riding squadron of a royal Ulan regiment and is the only building of that complex that has survived. After a comprehensive renovation, it was reopened by the university in 2019 as a communication and meeting center, and the renovation received the Best Architects Award. Original features such as the cross-vaulted ceiling on cast-iron columns have been preserved. Today, the building hosts conferences, receptions, concerts and exhibitions in the middle of the university campus.
