Panels
At CHASE 2026, we are happy to organize two panels that aim to connect smart health research with the real-world needs of healthcare delivery and technology translation. First, the clinical panel, featuring physicians and clinical practitioners, will bring firsthand perspectives on the most pressing challenges in patient care, clinical workflow, remote monitoring, diagnosis, treatment support, health equity, patient engagement, and care coordination. These insights are valuable for academic researchers because they help clarify which research problems are not only technically interesting, but also clinically meaningful, deployable, and capable of improving patient outcomes in practice. Second, the industry panel, featuring company CEOs, incubator leaders, and technology managers, will complement the clinical perspective by highlighting the practical requirements for translating smart health innovations into scalable products and services. Topics such as commercialization pathways, regulatory and reimbursement considerations, interoperability, data governance, AI reliability, system scalability, user adoption, and partnership models can help researchers better understand how innovations move from prototypes to real-world deployment. Together, these two panels will help bridge the gap between academic research, clinical needs, and industry implementation, shaping future research directions that are impactful, actionable, and responsive to the evolving smart health ecosystem.
