[05/23/2018] Camera-ready Paper Submission Due date and Author Registration deadline extended

In order to better synchronize the technical program development schedule across seven co-located conferences, it is necessary to postpone the deadline for submission of camera-ready papers from May 23 to May 26, 2018. The Author Registration deadline has also been extended to May 30, 2018. See Registration page for details.

[05/15/2018] Camera-ready Paper Submission Due date extended to May 23, 2018

In order to better synchronize the technical program development schedule across seven co-located conferences, it is necessary to postpone the deadline for submission of camera-ready papers from May 16 to May 23, 2018.

[05/09/2018] Xiaofei Xu will give a keynote in the morning of July 5, 2018

Our third keynote will be presented by Xiaofei Xu in the morning of July 5 with the title, “Data-Centric Smart Big Service: New Challenges and New Development”. He is Professor of Computer Science at Harbin Institute of Technology, and is a board member of China Computer Federation (CCF). To learn more, see our Keynotes.

[05/07/2018] Schahram Dustdar will give a keynote in the morning of July 6, 2018

Our fourth keynote will be presented by Schahram Dustdar in the morning of July 6 with the title, “Service Engineering the Fabric of IoT, People, and Systems”. He is Professor of Computer Science heading the Distributed Systems Group at the Technical University of Vienna, and is the co-founder and chief scientist of Caramba Labs. [05/06/2018] Plenary panel sessions will be held on July 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2018

The Congress will have four plenary panel sessions on important timely issues on services, ranging from security and privacy, blockchain technologies and with services applications, innovative services and integrated solutions, and bigdata-as-a-service. To learn more, see our Panels.

[05/06/2018] C. Mohan will give a keynote in the morning of July 4, 2018

Our second keynote for the Congress will be presented by C. Mohan of IBM Research in the morning of July 4 with the title, “Blockchains Untangled: Public, Private, Smart Contracts, Applications, Issues”. He is an IBM Fellow, ACM SIGMOD Innovations Award winner in 1996, and VLDB 10 Year Best Paper Award winner in 1999. To learn more, see our Keynotes.

[04/12/2018] Raj Reddy will give a keynote at the opening session on July 3, 2018

Our first keynote for Services 2018 will be presented by Raj Reddy of Carnegie Mellon University, titled “Impact of AI on Services Industry.” He has received a number of accolades including the ACM Turing Award in 1994. The talk is scheduled for July 3, 2018. To learn more, see our Keynotes.

[02/23/2018] Samir Tata and Hemant Jain Chair Industrial Committee

Samir Tata, IBM Research at Almaden, and Hemant Jain, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, were appointed to serve as the Industrial Program Chair and Co-Chair, respectively, for the 2018 IEEE World Congress on Services. They will join forces to help develop a strong Industry Program with industrial speakers and panel sessions with panelists from both industry and academia as a cross-fertilization ground to discuss new and emerging technologies on services and applications. [02/18/2018] Paper Submission Due date extended to March 7, 2018

Due to holiday seasons and the improved efficiency of conference proceedings production, the paper submission due date is further extended to March 7, 2018. Note that this is the last extension for paper submission due date. Encourage authors to submit papers to the selected co-located conferences by the March 7, 2018 due date. In case any technical difficulties in submitting papers to the EasyChair links of selected conferences, send email to the email addresses of the selected conferences as soon as possible and no later than March 7, 2018.
