IEEE EDGE 2021 - Keynote Talks
EDGE 2021 - Keynote 3
Changjun Cai, Guangzhou Metro Corporation
December 18, 2:50 - 3:30 UTC; 10:50 - 11:30 Beijing Time
Exploring the Application of Edge Computing Technology in the Metro Industry
As the commercialization of 5G advances, more and more new applications place higher requirements on network latency, bandwidth, and security. The industry generally believes that MEC (Multi-Access Edge Computing) is the key to responding to the development requirements of "massive data, ultra-low latency, and data security". The topics of this speech will cover (a) the deep integration of new network technologies such as edge computing, network slicing, and ubiquitous access with the subway industry, overcoming the insufficient upstream edge rate of 5G technology in the subway industry, diverse types of equipment and protocols in the subway industry Different standards and other key issues. (b) Build a new application scenario of 5G technology in the subway field through the cloud-network integration architecture based on edge computing, and create a safe subway industry service system with ubiquitous interconnection, polar delay, and holographic perception. (c) Achieve the deep integration direction of the subway industry and the new generation of communication and network technology, and the way to integrate the edge cloud network integration architecture with the subway industry applications in the future. (d) The cloud-based edge cloud-network integration architecture will promote the transformation of the traditional multi-layer, complex, and fixed network of the subway industry to a flat and more flexible architecture, reduce industry network construction costs, and promote applications to more vertical industries.
