3rd IEEE International Symposium on the Future of Financial Services
The financial services industry is a forward-looking industry that has always been in the lookout to leverage new technologies to increase profits. Broadly, this industry covers three vertical sectors, Financial Markets, Banking, and Insurance. Digitalization is a double edge sword that is sweeping the pillars of financial institutions creating new players: FinTech, InsurTech, RegTech, and other industries offer financial services.
Five key external trends are shaping the financial services industry:
- Clients demand personalized offerings
- Regulators increase risk mitigation
- Government pressures green finance targets
- Open collaboration creates new business models
- Data proliferation privacy and security concerns
The 2021 IEEE International Symposium on the Future of Financial Services (FFS) aims to bring academia and industry subject matter experts together to identify novel intelligent and responsible financial services in the digital era. It will focus on facilitating exchange of the great minds to better understand existing challenges in the digital industry and potential R&D advances that can bring transformative changes and improvements to finance in coming years, such as:
Besides the special research paper track on FFS (jointly organized with IEEE SCC 2021), the FFS Symposium will feature distinguished speakers from industry and academia, research panels, technical presentations and much more; stay tuned for the agenda. It will be held as a cross-conference symposium at IEEE SERVICES 2021. We extend an invitation to all to participate and make it a success.
